Isle of Wight Radio climbs aboard for the international sailing event that is Cowes Week.
The station will be working with Cowes Yacht Haven, the home the event, to provide daily live coverage of off-water events direct to listeners, with help from local sound company Widgets and national stage and screen company Phonix to provide all the live, evening entertainment for the thousands of visitors, locals and competitors who visit Cowes during the international event.
Isle of Wight Radio’s Programme Controller and Breakfast Show Presenter, Paul Topping, said: "Cowes Week is one of the largest events to be held on the Isle of Wight and the UK. We are very proud to be represented here during this international event. It is a major coup for the station and the team at Isle of Wight Radio."
Cowes Radio, which has been covering the week long celebrations for the past 24 years, will be returning as the official radio station for the event.
