Managing Director of Play Radio in Southampton and Winchester David Harber has resigned from the board following a series of attempted management buyouts. He helped launch the station in July.
Having failed to achieve complete control of the company, he is leaving the station to concentrate on his other radio businesses.
Harber said: “Having failed in my attempt to take control of the company, I feel it is now time to concentrate on my other enterprises.
“Naturally, I wish the excellent team in Southampton every success for the future”.
Harber is the Managing Director of Prometheus Radio and Radio Response. Both companies provide programming and sales solutions to UK radio stations.
