Arqiva-nominated The Bay has recorded a song for a local football team, to help them on their way to Wembley.
The song, a cover of All Right Now, was sung at the CN station for Barrow AFC and written by the station's sports editor Dave Salmon.
Dave Salmon commented: “We chose the song because it’s a great anthem with a catchy chorus that hopefully Bluebirds fans will be chanting on May 8th and beyond!”
The first play of the song was on The Bay Breakfast Show with Danny Matthews on Thursday 22nd April. Danny said: “The Lads were such good fun and professional when they came into The Bay to record the track and I couldn't wait to get the final mix back and put it straight on air so the whole of North Lancashire and Cumbria could hear it. The response has been overwhelming and it's great that people not just from Barrow but all across the area are behind them.”
All profits are going to St Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston.
