Bolton FM celebrates 12 months

A community radio station is marking its first year of being on air by hosting an awards ceremony for its volunteers.

The light-hearted awards have been created to recognise volunteers achievements, whilst letting them enjoy themselves.

Backed by Big Brother contestant and Bolton FM presenter Luke Marsden, six categories have been created including “Best on air moment” and “Best Duo”.

23 year old Luke says, “It’s been really hard work. The team has been working flat out over the past few days, but it’s going to be an excellent night!

Adam Fawcett, one of the organisers of the event says, “It’s been a brilliant year, and it’s good we can recognise volunteers achievement in such a way.”
