Ross and Brand back for podcast

Absolute Radio are pairing Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross together again for the first in a series of podcasts to coincide with the launch of Brand's new book.

The recordings will be made backstage after Russell's "Booky Wooky 2" stand-up shows.

It'll be the first time the two are back doing a radio show together since making those phone calls to Andrew Sachs that were to change their career paths forever.

Ross will be his on-stage guest for the first show next week (30 September) at the Hackney Empire and will also feature on the podcast. Future shows – including in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Bristol and Newcastle – will see Brand in conversation with his former Radio 2 and 6 Music co-host Matt Morgan.

Brand told The Sun: "I'll be doing a series of podcasts and the first one will be with Jonathan. Then I'll be doing between five and ten with my old sidekick Matt Morgan. I'm hoping to get Noel Gallagher back on, too."

"We'll record them at my live shows," he added. "We'll do some things backstage and then do the show. It should be really good."
