Real deal for Super League side

Real Radio Wales have signed a deal with rugby league side Crusaders which will see the station’s logo on players shirts and on air promotion ahead of matches.

Real becomes the official radio station of the Wrexham-based Super League club, the only top-flight Welsh rugby league team.

Real Radio Wales will run commercials for fixtures and as well as building awareness of the team, games and the brand. In return they get advertising space on pitch-side hoardings, along with branded signage around the stadium, the Real Radio logo on the first team kit, and branded music played out during match days.

Formed only six years ago following the demise of Celtic Warriors, they were originally called Celtic Crusaders and based in Bridgend before moving to Wrexham for the start of the 2010 season. The club are currently bottom of the Super League table.

Victoria Thomas, Real Radio Sales Manager for North and Mid Wales said: “This is a great collaboration, we are very proud to be associated with The Crusaders and their success. They are a great team and together we will make a winning combination.”

Hanna Clarke, Commercial Manager for Crusaders added: “We’re delighted to link up with Real Radio Wales. The station reaches over 400,000 listeners throughout Wales and we hope this mutually beneficial partnership will help both of us expand our fan-base.”
