UK consultant named one of radio’s best

An American radio industry magazine has named UK radio consultant Francis Currie as one of ‘Radio’s Best Consultants’ in a recent poll.

Francis was the only consultant based outside the US to appear on the list from Radioink magazine.

Francis Currie Consulting now works for both Commercial Radio and the BBC in the UK. Internationally it has clients in the Far East, Middle East, the former Eastern Bloc, Western Europe and Scandinavia.

Editor Ed Ryan led the nomination process to find radio’s best consultants, with input from programme directors throughout the radio industry. He explained to Francis Currie “You have been chosen by your peers – as one of the most successful and admired consultants in our industry.”

Francis Currie told RadioToday.co.uk: “I am absolutely thrilled to be recognised in Radio Ink’s list of ‘Radio’s Best Consultants’. It is a great honour. I am very grateful to all of the clients, both in the UK and internationally, who supported my nomination with votes, recommendations and testimonials. I guess the beers are on me!”

Before setting up the consultancy in 2007, Francis worked as Programme Director of Heart in London and Group Programme Director of the Heart Network. He was also Launch Programme Director of Magic 105.4 in London.
