London DAB station Premier Gospel Radio has signed MOBO Award winner Guvna B to present a weekly show.

The musician will host the ‘Hip Hop Remedy Sessions’ show on Wednesday nights from this week.

22 year old Guvna B – real name Isaac Borquaye – is celebrity ambassador for The Prince’s Trust and ambassador for Youth For Christ. He was named Best Gospel Act at last year’s MOBOs.

Premier Gospel Station Director, Muyiwa said: “Guvna B is at the cutting edge of UK Gospel music. He’s worked hard to get where he is and has lots of fresh, innovative ideas to engage his fans. But most importantly, he has a love of music synonymous to Premier Gospel and an infectious enthusiasm that will naturally draw people to the show. A natural fit for Hip Hop Remedy Session he’ll take the essential mix of holy hip-hop tunes with a message and give them a Guvna B twist; showcasing new talent as well as popular artists.”

Guvna B added: “I grew up listening to hip hop, and I’m a hip hop artist. To be able to play music on the biggest Christian broadcasting station in the UK, it’s just amazing.”
