Ronnie Wood welcomes Sir Paul McCartney

Absolute Classic Rock will welcome Sir Paul McCartney as a guest on The Ronnie Wood Show.

The interview was first broadcast yesterday on Sky Arts but will form part of a special show with Ronnie on Sunday 29th July.

The two rock and pop legends will unite for a specially recorded one off episode of the critically acclaimed music show, produced by Somethin’ Else.

Sir Paul will join Ronnie in his chat and music show where they will be jamming together, playing tracks, discussing their rock and roll histories and talking about the music they love.

The Ronnie Wood Show is a televised version of his radio programme on Absolute Classic Rock which began on the channel in February. It is the first series that Ronnie has ever done on television, which Absolute Radio claims to be a success for the channel, with The Independent proclaiming Ronnie as: “The Old master at the heart of the renaissance at Sky Arts.”

“What an extraordinary coup to have these two musical giants appearing together on the show,” comments James Hunt, Channel Director of Sky Arts. “Both men have the most astonishing wealth of stories and experiences and this is just the most thrilling climax to an incredible series. No doubt our customers will find this a complete joy to watch. ”

Wood has selected a playlist for his Absolute Classic Rock show, which he will discuss with McCartney.
