Zoe Ball to cover BBC Radio 2 Breakfast

Former BBC Radio 1 Breakfast presenter Zoe Ball will cover fellow former Radio 1 Breakfast host Chris Evans.. on Radio 2 Breakfast later this month.

Zoe will present the show the same week Nick Grimshaw takes over breakfast on BBC Radio 1, adding extra upheaval to the national radio breakfast scene. But whilst speculation mounts that the holiday timings of Chris Evans are deeply thought out, we checked with the station and it appears the vacation was booked long before Moyles announced his departure date.

Zoe has been covering shows on BBC Radio 2 since leaving her regular Saturday show in January, and has just spent two weeks hosting a daily evening show with Richard Bacon. You can hear her back on breakfast from September 24th to 28th.

This will be a “turn off” for me. Richard Madeley is far better.

Much better than Ryan Tubridy or Richard Madeley for this time of day.

I like Richard Madeley best but Zoe’s a billion times better than Ryan Tubridy

Ryan Turbidy has been the best replacement for Chris. Looks like I will have to have Heart on for that week.

Ryan Tubridy was pantwettingly awful, cringeworthy radio. I note they’ve decided not to put Richard Allinson in to fill in for Evans after the last time when something of a campaign got up to keep him on there permanently…

I would have preferred Richard Madeley or Richard Allinson. Wish I had seen the campaign to get Richard Allinson on there permanently, anything would be better than narcissistic, nepotistic Evans. Oops maybe not Vanessa Feltz is a BIG turn off.
