Magic AM weekend presenter and former Radio 1 jock Mike Read is joining BBC Radio Berkshire for a daily afternoon show from January 2nd 2013.
He tweeted that he’s going to be hosting the daily 1-4pm show whilst continuing his weekend show on the Magic AM network.
The station is already home to national names Tony Blackburn, Henry Kelly and Anne Diamond.
He told RadioToday.co.uk his new show will have lots of chat with guests, sport, Twenty Questions, Desert Island Discs etc.
“I’m delighted to be back presenting a daily programme for the BBC, being involved with the content and working with a really professional team,” he said.
“I love working on the Magic network on Saturdays and Sundays… more music dominated shows, terrific fun and again, a great team.”
Over the last few years Mike has been involved in a number of projects, including TotalStar in Gloucestershire, Big L and One Gold.
