He’ll present the regional show in the West Midlands from this weekend, which now airs in the afternoons rather than at breakfast.
Joel is the former on-air other half of JK, who now presents weekend breakfast on the Heart network, and weekday drive in London with Lucy Horobin.
As JK and Joel they hosted Manchester’s Key 103 breakfast show which notably bagged them both a Gold and Silver Sony Radio Awards.
Joel said of his new role: ‘I’m chuffed to bits to be on the country’s biggest commercial radio station. JK has been working for Global for over a year now and has been raving about the company so I’m glad I’m now part of the family!’
Programme Controller, Paul Gerrard commented: ‘I can’t wait to hear Joel back on Heart West Midlands. He’s an incredibly talented presenter and I know in addition to our refreshed line-up across the weekend, Heart will remain firmly the place to be at the weekend for our listeners’
