BBC Radio 3 goes on the road this summer

A summer of attending festivals is being planned for BBC Radio 3 as the station takes its Free Thinking Festival of ideas on the road.

bbcradio3The station will take up residency at five events across the country.

They are HowTheLightGetsIn at Hay, My Night With Philosophers in London, the York Festival of Ideas, the Chalke Valley History Festival in Wiltshire and at the 2013 UK City of Culture, Derry~Londonderry.

Michael Wood, AL Kennedy, Esther Rantzen and Helen Castor will all help with the occasion too.

Each Free Thinking In The Summer event will be broadcast on Radio 3’s regular arts and ideas programme, Night Waves, in June and July.
