Australia’s largest commercial radio group, Southern Cross Austereo has agreed to offer content via the spoken word social network Audioboo.
SCA will start using the platform by the end of the year with audio from Triple M Sports, with other stations joining later.
Former Absolute Radio boss Clive Dickens, now Director of Digital and innovation at SCA told RadioToday.co.uk: “Southern Cross Austereo is a leading listed ASX Media Company in Australia with 84 Radio, 21 TV licences, 104 web and mobile sites, apps and 200 social presences reaching over 10m Australians each week with award winning, talent driven and engaging audio & vision content. We currently distribute over 44 audio channels via RSS to be consumed on demand.
Audioboo already has a long list of broadcasters using the service, including the Premier League, the BBC, the Daily Telegraph, ESPN and The Guardian.
