James Whale has a new permanent radio gig – as host of the breakfast show on BBC Essex, starting in the new year.
The former LBC and Talk Radio host will be joining the show from Monday 3rd February 2014, replacing Ray Clark who is moving to afternoons.
James Whale said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be presenting the Breakfast Show on BBC Essex and looking forward to inviting the listeners across the county to join in.”
James tweeted a teaser last week saying he had some news to share.
Gerald Main, Managing Editor BBC Essex said: “We are delighted James will be joining the Essex team in the New Year. He’s a fabulous broadcaster. James will host the flagship news and current affairs programme but there’ll always be time to give our listeners something new to smile about over the cornflakes.”
James has had a TV and radio career spanning 40 years which began presenting a radio phone-in in Newcastle in 1974 on Metro Radio.
