Town 102 hires Wayne Bavin for Breakfast

Wayne Bavin is joining Ipswich’s local radio station Town 102 to host the breakfast show from January.

Wayne is the final addition to the new Town 102 line up with Tony Horton on Daytimes and Paul Morris on Drive Time.

The Town 102 Breakfast Show with Wayne Bavin starts on Monday 6th January 2014 and Wayne said: “I am thrilled to be waking up Ipswich, Felixstowe and its surrounding areas every morning. I’m passionate about local radio and the show will be fun for all the family. I can’t wait to get our listeners involved.

“I’m looking forward to getting to know the people and places that make Ipswich such a great town and as a football and theatre fan, I can’t wait to visit Portman Road or catch a show or two at the Regent Theatre.”

Wayne has previously worked at KLFM and Wear FM.

Paul Morris, Programme Manager and Drive Time presenter at Town 102, said: “This is a very exciting time for Town 102 and the new line-up will help continue to build on the success of the radio station.

“We pride ourselves on local – not only playing great music but also giving our listeners all the news, travel and sport important to them, as well as lots of interactive fun along the way.”
