Yorkshire Coast Radio’s Paddy, host of ‘Paddy in the Morning’ is bringing 28 schools together for a special broadcast of ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas’.
In the last few days, Paddy has been visiting schools in Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington, recording children reciting lines from the well-known poem.
Paddy says “Children make Christmas, so I thought it would sound extra special to get lots of them from our local schools on the show on Christmas Eve reading the poem.
“Seeing how excited the kids were about taking part in it was brilliant!”
Over 60 children took part in the recording.
Chris Sigsworth, Managing Director at Yorkshire Coast Radio told RadioToday: “Paddy is never shy of hard work, but getting around 28 schools to record this, in just a few days, has been a challenge for him. Hearing the broadcast on Christmas Eve will be a great climax to what has been a fantastic first year on Breakfast for Paddy.”
