Free Radio Birmingham drive time team Jo and Sparky are moving to host the breakfast show in Wolverhampton, The Black Country & Shropshire.

Jo Russell and Mark “Sparky” Colerangle replace Ed Nell who moves to drive, although Ed’s breakfast co-host Cat will move to another slot.

Jo previously hosted breakfast on Free Radio’s predecessor in Birmingham, BRMB, but was moved to drive and paired with Sparky in 2010.

In other changes, Tom Newitt moves from Drive on Wolverhampton, The Black Country & Shropshire to Drive in Coventry, replacing Ben Burrell moves to Drive on Free Radio Birmingham, replacing Jo and Sparky.

Free Radio Brand Programme Director, Mike Newman commented: “We believe these presenter moves create really powerful line-ups on all our stations, ready for the next phase of our brand’s development. We are glad that Cat James & Nelly (Ed Nell) from the Black Country breakfast show will still remain with us across the schedule.”
