Tom Deacon and Emma Jo sign for Capital

Comedian Tom Deacon and former kmfm presenter Emma Jo Real-Davies are joining Capital South Coast for breakfast.

Tom was most recently doing radio at FUBAR and was previously on BBC Radio 1, whilst Emma Jo has just left her first radio job at kmfm to join the Global station.

They replace Paul Gillies & Emily Segal who disappeared suddenly last month from the show, which Paul had hosted since 2007.

Capital South Coast, Emma and Tom all tweeted the news this morning, along with a short video of the two arriving at Fareham Railway Station (close to Capital’s HQ). Tom said: “It just makes sense to go back to the South Coast as Saints FC are back in Europe.”

A Capital spokesperson told RadioToday: “We’re thrilled to announce that Tom Deacon will be the new host of Capital Breakfast on the south coast, launching on Monday 13 July. Tom is a terrific presenter, a top-class comedian and being a local Southampton lad, we know that our listeners are going to love him. Tom will be joined at breakfast by Emma Real-Davies. Emma is an exciting new talent who was also a student radio award winner in 2013 with Surge Radio, during her time at Southampton University”.
