Lauren Laverne announced them as two of the five acts that will be performing from Monday 5 to Friday 9 October. The remaining three acts will be announced across the rest of the week.
Lauren will be taking her show to the studios for the sixth time, for five days of incredible music where she will be interviewing the artists and introducing their sets, which will be performed live on air to an intimate audience of fans.
Broadcasting live on BBC Radio 6 Music, the whole three-hour show from 10am to 1pm – including the performances – will also be live-streamed online. It will also be live via BBC Red Button from 12 noon Monday to Thursday, with highlights from 7pm every evening (Monday to Friday) and the following week.
Lauren Laverne said: “I’m really excited about the brilliant line-up for this year’s 6 Music Live, as well as the prospect of reliving so many of my favourite sessions and performances from across the past year.”
Paul Rodgers, Head of Programmes at 6 Music, says: “BBC Radio 6 Music has passion for live music at its core and this is exemplified through the 300 plus music sessions we’ve broadcast across the year. The station continually works hard to support emerging and established talent from the alternative music scene. And with 6 Music Live at Maida Vale being live streamed via the website and available on BBC Red Button, our listeners can view these fantastic performances wherever and whenever they wish.”
