Helen Boaden to talk about the BBC’s future
Helen Boaden is to give a keynote on the future of the BBC and the impact of MediaCityUK at an event in Salford.
The Director of BBC England and BBC Radio is speaking at the Nations and Regions Media Conference in Salford – billed as the biggest gathering of radio indies outside London.
Helen will reflect on her new role as Director of BBC England, the BBC out of London and particularly BBC North and the impact of MediaCity. She will also touch on the BBC’s future.
Other radio sessions during the event on November 16th and 17th include ‘The World Service and the Young Global Adult – Hits, Misses and Maybes – How (and How Not) to do Visual Radio (with the BBC iplayer radio team), plus Commercial Radio Crossroads: What Next? (chaired by Trevor Dann) and The Meet the Commissioners Session.
The annual event, part of the Salford International Media Festival, will see sessions on radio visualisation, the BBC World Service, the future of radio production outside the M25 and a session on developments in the commercial radio sector.
