Former Radio City, Wish FM and Rock FM breakfast presenter Kev Seed has a new job – on community station Wirral Radio.
The station announced his return to radio this morning – he’s part of a new weekend line-up where he’ll be hosting mid-mornings.
Speaking to the breakfast presenters John, Bev and Ian on-air this morning, Kev hinted he’ll need to make sure his alarm clock is fixed.
John Storey, CEO of Wirral Radio said; “Kev and I go back a long way, since we both worked at a former leading station together. It has been too long since he was bringing his unique brand of humour and Merseyside knowledge to discerning listeners.
“We are delighted that we were able to bring him back, and are excited to have Kev Seed on a Saturday and Kev Seed on a Sunday on the most exciting radio station in the region.”
Kev commented; “I’m BACK, and can’t wait! Wirral Radio has been undertaking a quiet revolution in radio and I was delighted to see their recent audience figures which show more people are listening for longer than ever before”.
Kev was previously at Radio City for 11 years, 10 on breakfast, but was suspended and then sacked from Bauer in 2008 after pleading guilty to a drink-driving charge. He later appeared on Wish FM breakfast and Juice FM.
Wirral Radio broadcasts on 92.1FM from Birkenhead and also on the area’s MuxCo DAB multiplex.
