Former Emap radio boss Shaun Gregory has been hired by the Australian investment bank Macquarie to help launch Diamond FM – the new local radio station for Plymouth. Macquarie won the licence on March 9th – the second Ofcom award to a non-UK company.
Gregory will work along side Tim Schoonmaker, (non-executive chairman of Macquarie?s Radio UK Holdings) and former The Wireless Group group programme director Paul Chantler as consultants.
The group are currently waiting to see if they win Southend-on-Sea and/or the Northeast – both of which are awarded on Thursday.
