North East regional dance radio station Galaxy has unveiled Matthew Bashford as its new Station Director. He joins Chrysalis from Juice 107.2 in Brighton where he was the Managing Director.
Matthew will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Galaxy NE with a primary focus on sales. He's spent more than 9 years in the radio industry, most recently steering Juice 107.2 to profitably for the first time in the history of its licence.
Bashford takes over from Ian Trotter who left Galaxy last year to take up a position at CBS Outdoor.
Galaxy Brand Managing Director Martyn Healy tells us: "Matt has just the right mix of sales and general management experience. He joins a team in the North East which is already successful and we believe that his track record at Juice suggests that the success will be continued."
