Bauer rules London with Magic

There may have been doubt in the past but not anymore.
Magic 105.4 is the undisputed number one commercial station in London, beating second place Heart 106.2 on all measures. Are they now in a position that will prove unbeatable?

Magic's audience has broken through the two million barrier (2.005 million) and total hours have also increased by over two million, giving the Bauer flagship station an untouchable market share of 7.4%.
Heart 106.2 remains in second place despite losing 74,000 listeners (now 1.774 million) quarter-on-quarter and dropping 1.3 million hours.
Capital Radio has climbed back to third position with a slight increase in audience (1.607 million), but lost 140,000 listening hours. Capital's market share is 4.6%, nearly three whole percentage points behind Magic 105.4
Meanwhile Kiss 100 lost out on third position after losing nearly 150,000 listeners (1.414 million), although average hours improved to increase market share to 4.5%.
Dee Ford, radio group managing director for Bauer Media, told RadioToday.co.uk: “This is a great set of results across the board for Bauer Media, but a special mention has to go to Neil Fox being the undisputed champion of London and undoubtedly the capital’s classiest DJ to wake up to.”
Magic 105.4 also recently won Station of the Year at the 2008 Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, whilst Neil Fox also won the Gold award.
