McQueen heads to The Revolution

Geraldine McQueen, the newly crowned champion of ‘Britain's Got the Pop Factor… and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice’ has called upon the services of Steve Penk to help get one over on X-Factor creator Simon Cowell.

Penk, who once famously wound-up former Prime Minister, Tony Blair, now owner of 96.2 The Revolution, is where Geraldine’s alter-ego, Peter Kay, tracked him down.
“Peter came to me for help”, says Steve, “after Simon Cowell publicly derided Geraldine’s debut single, ‘The Winners Song, describing it as “pathetic”’. I was asked to put-in a call to Cowell winding him up over the whole spoof X-Factor thing”.
But Steve had a better idea, offering Geraldine the chance to go on-air and present her own Christmas Day show during which she will get total freedom to have her say over Simon’s unkind comments.
Geraldine couldn’t believe it: “When my agent told me about Steve’s offer I thought it was just another of his wind-ups”, says Geraldine, “but he told me how he felt I had a lovely bubbly personality as well as the perfect face for radio. I’m really looking forward to getting to grips with his equipment”.
The (Mc) Queen’s Christmas Message can be heard on Christmas Day between 10am and midday on 96.2FM The Revolution.
