BBC Radio Scotland on the up

The latest listening figures for BBC Radio Scotland indicate that the network’s reach is now at almost a million listeners across the country. Up from 937,000 this time last year to 986,000 this.

Jeff Zycinski, head of Radio BBC Scotland said: “It was an incredibly busy period for news and our journalists kept the audience engaged at every turn of the banking and economic crisis.

“Our sports teams scored again with in-depth coverage across the board and all of the teams in features and news played an important role in producing exciting content for the start of the Scotland’s History season.”
