Emma B and Kate Silverton will take over from Gabby Logan in February and March, on BBC Radio 5 Live.
Emma B, who has previously presented on Radio 1’s Sunday Surgery, Saturday afternoon show and on BBC 6music, will be taking over from Gabby on February 8th and 15th.
She said: “I’m so very thrilled to have been asked to cover for Gabby. After getting on her show and having lots of fun getting stuck into some hefty issues and some serious football rants, I hope I’ll be able to do the show justice. I’m really looking forward to using all the great experience I had on Radio 1, now if I can just brush up on my rugby, we should be ok!!”
BBC journalist and broadcaster Kate Silverton will stand in for Gabby on March 1st and 15th. She is a regular presenter of the BBC One O’Clock News, Breakfast and several BBC documentaries – along with being a mainstay reporter for Panorama.
Looking ahead to her time on the programme Kate said: “I'm really looking forward to being back on 5 live and really pleased to be presenting the show. It always has great guests, free flowing conversation and that lovely laid back feel which you don't get during the week on frantic news bulletins. It’s a lovely change for me!”
The Gabby Logan show is on BBC Radio 5 live every Sunday at 10:00am -12:00pm.
