GMG Radio puts their brand on it
GMG Radio has appointed Brand Programme Directors for its Smooth and Real/Century networks in a bid to ensure consistency in both programming and its commercial activities. Jay Crawford and Steve Collins assume their roles immediately.
Jay Crawford, PD of GMG Radio Scotland and Steve Collins, PD of Smooth Radio in the North West will assume their new roles in addition to their current posts within the group. Collins has enjoyed stints at Capital Radio, Manchester’s Piccadilly Radio and Jazz FM, while Crawford has over thirty years experience in the Scottish radio business.
Group Programme Director John Simons said: “This is an exciting new development phase within GMG Radio and Jay and Steve are two experienced programmers who will help develop the Smooth and Real brands ensuring we can meet the growing commercial needs for the networks whilst ensuring the core brand values of the stations continue to be met.”
