Skillset Tune In to Brighton

Skillset’s first national conference dedicated to radio took place in Brighton on Monday. It was hosted by David Jensen and supported by Radio Today, the Radio Academy and the South East Regional Development Agency.

The one hundred delegates that included representatives from the BBC, community, and commercial radio sectors and radio lecturers from further and higher education were treated to a keynote speech from Skillset Chief Executive Dinah Caine OBE.

Skillset’s Route into Radio project was also showcased and seminars included such topics as diversity in training and education as well as the need to nurture new talent in order for the industry to survive.
