Capital FM plans a summer Ball

Global Radio's 95.8 Capital FM is to fill the Emirates Stadium with 55,000 listeners for their first Summertime Ball this June.

Capital FM's first open-air concert in over five years, replacing the Party in the Park, will take place on Sunday 7th June at London’s Emirates Stadium. It is the second major event of the station's calendar, following on from the Jingle Bell Ball in December at the O2.
More than 14 of the world’s leading hit music artists will fly in to perform at the Summertime Ball in front of an audience of 55,000, with 95.8 Capital FM broadcasting live from the venue from 10am till 10pm on the day.
The event is also supporting Capital’s flagship charity, Help a London Child, with a donation of £100,000 to being made from the proceeds of the event.
Richard Park, Director of Broadcasting at Global Radio is quite excited: “After the phenomenal success of the Jingle Bell Ball in December we knew we had to repeat it, but this time even bigger. The Summertime Ball at London’s Emirates Stadium will be one hell of an event!”
Ashley Tabor, Global Founder & Group CEO said: “Once again 95.8 Capital FM will bring together the most exciting artists in the world of hit music. The Summertime ball will see artists flying in from all over the world to perform for Capital at the biggest, best, and most talked about event of the summer. Everyone’s locked into Capital to see how they can be there!"
