The Tonight programme on ITV1 with Sir Trevor McDonald this evening (Monday) will include a clip of a recent visit to Bauer's City Talk studio in Liverpool.
The famous newsreader requested to appear on the all talk station whilst in the city filming a Tonight special, regarding immigration.
Sir Trevor joined presenter Duncan Barkes at the top of the Radio City Tower to discuss the issue, as a television crew filmed his appearance.
He then roamed the streets of Liverpool, asking passers by their views on foreign people moving in to the U.K.
Duncan Barkes said: “It was naturally a great honour to have Sir Trevor on the show, he’s a true gent and it made a fantastic live on air debate. Its great to see that when the national media want to know the opinions of the people of Merseyside and the North West, they are coming to us. I’m looking forward to seeing the footage on ITV on Monday evening.”
The ‘Tonight’ special will be broadcast on Monday night at 8pm on ITV1.
