Rock (FM) School opens doors

Lancashire’s Rock FM radio station claims to have become the first commercial station in the country to create a specialised study support centre for students of schools and colleges.

Preston-based 97.4 Rock FM has installed a dedicated study support centre with two radio studios and a production area to be used by local students. The course, entitled “Days at Rock FM”, gives young people from across Lancashire first hand experience of a fully working radio station.
Adam Catterall, Rock FM’s breakfast host said: “It’s great to open our doors and invite local students in to teach them what we know. It will be great to see some of the students making it big in the radio industry after starting here.”
