A teenage listener in Peterhead has met her singing idol Taylor Swift, thanks to Northsound.
Sherilyn Maskame, who has just celebrated her 15th birthday, spent a day with singer Taylor Swift after winning a competition on the Bauer Media radio station.
The lucky listener travelled to London where she met Taylor, watched her being filmed on the Paul O’Grady show and then went to see her perform live at the Shepherds Bush Empire.
“I was so delighted when I won the competition on Northsound I couldn’t stop screaming, it was so exciting to find out that I would be meeting Taylor,” said Sherilyn.
Northsound’s Programme Director Chris Thomson added: “We were delighted for Sherilyn as winning the competition gave her the chance to travel to see one of her favourite stars in the flesh as well as getting a behind-the-scenes look at the Paul O’Grady Show.
“At one point we actually thought that Sherilyn was going to pass out on the phone because she was screaming with excitement so much!”
