The UK radio industry's biggest annual conference is underway in Nottingham, but with one noticeable difference.
And whilst the Radio Festival has a good attendence, it has already been noted that there are no official representatives speaking from the UK's biggest commercial radio group, Global Radio.
Global's Group Chief Executive Ashley Tabor and Group Executive Director and Director of Broadcasting Richard Park were unavailable when contacted by RadioToday.co.uk to try and understand the reason why staff including Head of Creative Technology Nick Piggott and Galaxy presenter Simon Hirst, who were due to take part in festival sessions, were cancelled at the last minute.
