ITV Anglia's Head of News David Jennings has been appointed Head of Region for the BBC in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
David will take over his new post in September and be responsible for managing BBC (Radio) Humberside, BBC (Radio) Lincolnshire, BBC Look North in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, and online staff.
He said: "I was born in Hull and spent much of my childhood in Yorkshire, so this feels rather like coming home.
"It's a great part of the country, and I'm really looking forward to working with the talented and creative BBC teams across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire."
David started work at Anglia in 1987 as a production journalist, moving on to roles as a reporter and producer.
