Former GCap Media chief executive Fru Hazlitt is understood to be in the running as one of four people in the shortlist for the top job at ITV.
Guillaume de Posch, (the former chief executive of ProSiebenSat.1), internal candidate, John Cresswell, and former BSkyB chief executive Tony Ball are all in with a chance too, according to the [link=http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/mediatechnologyandtelecoms/media/5804667/Former-ProSieben-chief-Guillaume-de-Posch-in-ITV-frame.html]Telegraph[/link].
During her five month stint at GCap Media, Fru "pulled the plug" on digital radio by announcing her intention to close Planet Rock, the Jazz and GCap's share in the national DAB multiplex Digital One.
Prior to taking over Ralph Bernard's position at GCap, Fru was chief executive of Virgin Radio and before that managing director of Yahoo! UK and Ireland.
