106.1 Rock Radio on ice

Manchester classic rock station, 106.1 Rock Radio has renewed its sponsorship deal with The Manchester Phoenix ice hockey team for the coming year. This means the station will continue to host the team warm-up at home games.

The station logo will also appear on the team’s game shirts and merchandise.
Andy Carter, Managing Director of GMG Radio North West said: "Our demographic is ideally suited to ice-hockey, and vice-versa…it really is a win-win scenario for us parties."
Manchester Phoenix player and head coach, Tony Hand MBE, added: "Ice-hockey is a game of strength, speed and skill where the adrenaline is already pumping at full throttle. Without rock music, and L-O-U-D rock music the games just wouldn't be the same."
