Global Radio’s Galaxy network will be broadcasting live from this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe from Monday 17th to Friday 21st August. This is the first time Galaxy has broadcast from the world’s largest arts festival.
Each weekday from 1pm, Matt and Des will be joined by a variety of comedians and performers appearing at this year’s Festival Fringe, including Alistair McGowan, Jason Byrne, Brendan Burns, Kevin Bridges, Lucy Porter, Russell Kane and Stephen K Amos.
Galaxy’s live coverage from the Fringe will be broadcast on five stations in the Galaxy network including Galaxy Scotland, Galaxy North East, Galaxy Yorkshire, Galaxy Manchester and Galaxy Birmingham.
Galaxy’s Group Programme Director Mike Cass said: “We’re really excited to take Galaxy to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the first time this year. Broadcasting live from our Galaxy double-decker bus, you can expect the biggest names in comedy at the Fringe, all brought to you by Galaxy’s very own Matt Spokes and Des Clarke.”
