Real Radio has signed Tony Cowell – brother of Simon – as its official X-Factor correspondent. From 21st August, Cowell will report into Real Radio’s breakfast shows in Wales, Yorkshire, the North West, North East and Scotland.
John Simons, Group Programme Director of GMG Radio which operates Real Radio said: “Tony is a great personality and we are over the moon to have Simon Cowell’s brother reporting on the X-Factor for Real Radio.”
Tony Cowell added: “As a celebrity news journalist I have covered American Idol for US Radio for the past two years – and it was great fun. I've always wanted to cover the X Factor and I'm excited about working with Real Radio on this.”
