Global gives it more Heart

The Heart brand across the UK is to receive a new round of marketing, whilst Heart Breakfast in London enters a new phase.

The “Give it some Heart” message, which first appeared during the previous advertising blitz, is back on television for six weeks. The TV ad broadcasts on ITV London, Meridian and Wales to support Heart London and the most recent stations to join the Heart family in the third phase of the roll-out.

The commercial also runs on multi-channel to support the entire Heart network of 33 stations. The ad features Heart presenters Emma Bunton, Jason Donovan and Jamie Theakston.

In addition, 850 London buses will carry the “Give it some Heart” message in the capital whilst adverts in regional press are used across Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Dorset and Essex to support the Heart stations in those areas.

The marketing campaign coincides with the launch of the next phase of Heart London’s breakfast show, Global tells us. "[i]Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Harriet Scott boasts brand new listener interactive benchmark features including Battle of the Boroughs, a bigger and better variety of music, all supported by new imaging including new Heart Breakfast themes." Global Radio’s Director of Broadcasting Richard Park said: “This is an exciting time for Heart, with particular focus on Heart London, as we take Heart Breakfast with Jamie and Harriet into a new and exciting phase.”
