New Central director for UTV

UTV Radio's Preston, Leyland and Chorley station Central Radio has hired Paula Davies as Station Director.

Davies, who joined UTV Radio in 2000 and has been sales director at 106.5 Central Radio since the station’s launch in September 2008, started her new position this week.
Speaking of her appointment, Davies said: “It’s been quite a rollercoaster-ride establishing Central Radio within the local community over the past 12 months, but one I have thoroughly enjoyed. To be given the opportunity to put my own stamp on the station is an exciting prospect.
On the appointment of Davies, Calum Macaulay, UTV Media director of local radio, said: “Paula has been a key member of the Central Radio team and I’m delighted that she has agreed to take the station’s reigns. Her knowledge of the business is second to none and I’m looking forward to seeing Paula develop and grow the station’s profitability.”
