Rossie goes non stop for 24h

Radio City's breakfast presenter Simon Ross has spent 24 hours on-air, raising £30k for charity.

His marathon breakfast show was organised to raise money for the station’s charity, Cash For Kids, and raised £30K – with more cash still to be collected over the next couple of weeks.
Rossie began broadcasting at 8am on Thursday morning and remained live on Radio City 96.7 for a full 24 hours. He was joined by a number of guests including Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez, defender Jamie Carragher, Everton's Leon Osman and Hollyoaks actress Jess Fox.
Liverpool band The Christians performed two classic tracks and recently freed LFC fan Michael Shields joined in to support the event.
Radio City's Charity Manager, Carole Clare, said: "Rossie was absolutely fantastic during the 24 hour broadcast which was a brilliant event for Cash For Kids.
"The atmosphere in Cafe Sports was amazing all day and all night. I want to say a huge thanks to everyone who gave us their support, showed up to say hello and donated money."
