Former GCap boss to chair C4?

Former GCap Media chairman Richard Eyre has been shortlisted for the role of chairman of Channel 4 Television.
Ofcom has recently said the position is expected to be filled within the next couple of weeks, and Richard is understood to be one of a few short-listed candidates.

Previously, Richard was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Capital Radio in the early 1990s. He then moved to the ITV Network in 1997 as Chief Executive Officer and became Chairman and Chief Executive of Pearson Television in 2000.
He joined the board of GMG in [link=https://radiotoday.co.uk/news.php?extend.44]2004[/link] then went on to chair GCap Media. He [link=https://radiotoday.co.uk/news.php?extend.3425]left[/link] shortly after Global Radio took over GCap Media last year.
Former BBC director general, Greg Dyke, is also thought to be in the running to replace current chairman Luke Johnson.
