Ofcom awards community licence

Ofcom has awarded one new community radio licence to Ummah FM in Reading as part of its South East licensing round, which excludes areas within the M25.
Ummah FM will serve the Muslim community of Reading. Serving to promote discussion and debate within the community. The service will be multilingual, but predominantly in English.

The licence is awarded for a five-year period.
