YMCG looks to print for revenue

The owners of Brunel FM, Bath FM, Quaywest FM and 3TR FM have created additional revenue by producing a station booklet, which will be distributed to local homes via Royal Mail.
The promotion has generated over £25,000 of extra cash whilst raising the profile of the stations.

Forty advertisers have purchased a mixed radio and print package with the airtime running in October and November and all 112,000 printed radio station booklets will be sent out during the last two weeks of November.
Nick Evelyn, on behalf of YMCG, said 'This has proved to be a very successful promotion generating significant amounts of extra revenue. After what has been a very difficult last twelve months advertisers are looking for media owners to go that extra mile and that is exactly what we are doing.
"However this is not all we have planned. Also in November we will producing a newsletter for each station which will be emailed to all major clients in the radio station areas. In January we are also planning a major car sticker promotion with over 100,000 car stickers being produced. To turn these radio stations into successful businesses we have to tell the potential audience and advertisers about ourselves and that is exactly what we are doing."
