Heart takes Windows partnership

Heart is the second Global Radio station to start promoting the new Windows 7 operating system, with Capital FM already securing Microsoft sponsorship for its upcoming Jingle Bell Ball.
The promotion, on all 33 Heart stations, is fronted by the Sugababes.

On-air activity will drive the Heart audience online to ask listeners to suggest fun and original occasions where the Sugababes could perform, echoing the ‘My Idea’ theme from the Windows 7 media campaign. The overall winner will have their idea turned into reality, with the Sugababes performing at their very own intimate gig.
The promotion is part of a wider partnership brokered by UM London and incorporates activity across 95.8 Capital FM, including Microsoft sponsoring the Jingle Bell Ball on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December.
Mike Gordon, Group Commercial Director at Global Radio said: "I’m delighted that Global Radio is able to play a role in this exciting launch campaign for Windows 7. It’s another example of how we are able to leverage our influence within the music community and combine that with the shared passions that exists between our listeners and Microsoft’s consumers for music and entertainment."
