Phil Wood joins The Revolution

Former Piccadilly Radio and BBC Radio Manchester presenter Phil Wood is joining The Revolution for a weekend show.
He joins his former colleague and owner of the Oldham-based station Steve Penk.

Steve says he is delighted with the new signing: "Phil is a great broadcaster with an unrivalled track record in Manchester radio", says Steve. "He’ll bring some real ‘clout’ to our new Sunday line-up"
Steve believes that the general decline in listening to Commercial Radio on Sundays has got more to do with stations becoming lazy and relying on networked programming or automation rather than changing lifestyle habits:
“Sunday used to be a great day for Radio”, continues Steve, “and I genuinely believe that we can grow our audience right now by putting the effort-in and going the ‘extra mile’ for our listeners”.
Phil left his last radio show, late nights on BBC Radio Manchester after a police incident forced him to [link=https://radiotoday.co.uk/news.php?extend.3046]step down[/link] from his position.
