Former Radio 1 presenter Mike Read is releasing a Christmas record with The Shooting Stars and donating all his profits to charity.
The song, called My Christmas Card to You, was co-written by Mike and is available now via HMV or online.
Mike hit the headlines earlier this year when he was forced to hand over his entire record collection after he was declared bankrupt for the second time. Despite this, he says all money raised will be donated to The Shooting Star Children's Hospice, a charity providing support to children who are terminally ill as well as support for their families.
The Shooting Stars include ex-R1 colleagues 'Diddy' David Hamilton and Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart.
Mike's station Star 107.5 is supporting the charity single, and is also holding an auction to raise money for the Pied Piper Appeal.
