Jazz FM gets in on the act

Jazz FM has signed its first artist to its new artist label, after recently releasing five compilation albums.
The signing of jazz musician Eileen Hunter represents Jazz FM’s recently announced commitment to help develop and support new talent.

Eileen’s new album will be released in March 2010, under Jazz FM’s new label imprint, which will be launched in the New Year. She is the wife of former X Factor winner, Steve Brookstein.
It was her song ‘I Miss the Sky’, which first won the attention of Jazz FM’s Head of Programming, Mike Vitti. “Eileen is an exceptional talent,” says Mike.
“She not only provides an inspirational vocal performance, she is an amazing musician too.”
Jazz FM already operates Jazz FM Records, and the next album will be a celebration of 30 years of Peter Young’s Soul Cellar radio show, released early in the New Year.
